Whiskey Sour

Recipe:

  • Build in Boston shaker
    • 2 oz. quality bourbon
    • 0.75 oz. lemon juice
    • 0.75 oz simple syrup (50/50)
    • 3 dashs orange bitters
    • 1 egg white
  • Dry shake for 30 seconds to fully emulsify egg white
  • Add ice to shaker and shake an additional 15 seconds to fully chill
  • Strain and serve in chilled coup glass
  • Garnish with lemon wheel and Luxardo cherry

Why it works:

The egg whites are really the star of this show! What they provide is an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel, while the lemon and bourbon create the classic flavor.
